Meet Archie Spencer
From Self-Taught Trader to Educator
Archie Spencer has been actively trading the financial markets for over seven years. His journey didn’t start with a finance degree — it started while running a bathroom and heating systems business, spending every spare hour studying charts, testing strategies, and learning from his mistakes. For four years, Archie traded solely using technical analysis. He studied, he failed, he adapted, and eventually he broke through. The turning point? Understanding that fundamentals drive the markets and technicals simply give you the timing. That shift in perspective changed everything.
Today, Archie holds a Level 5 Diploma in Technical Analysis and is a Level I candidate in the CFA® Program. His approach combines a deep understanding of macroeconomic fundamentals with precise technical execution built from years of hands-on experience. After becoming consistently profitable, Archie made a bold move: at just 23 years old, he relocated to Bangkok to trade full-time and build GRIT Trading Academy.
Why I Built This
