Not on a trading floor.

I came from a plumbing apprenticeship, and like most people I thought trading was a shortcut. It isn't, and it took me a long time to find that out.

Four years of doing it the wrong way.

For four years I traded on technical analysis alone, fitting it around work in the bathroom and heating trade. I studied every spare hour, tested strategy after strategy, and blew accounts doing it. I made nearly every mistake there is to make.

If you've felt the confusion, the losses and the moments of doubt, I've been exactly there.

What changed everything was understanding that fundamentals drive the market and technicals give you the timing. Once I knew why price was moving, the chart finally made sense.

That idea became the spine of everything GRIT teaches, and it's the thing I see missing in almost every trader who books a call with me.

Most people quit before they ever get good.

Not because they aren't smart enough, but because they have no structure. Too much conflicting information online, no idea what to focus on, and nobody to guide them through the hard early stages.
